Share your story
Every month, What's Next carries one person's story from one stage of this journey. Not the tidy version, and not only the ones that ended well. The thing someone needs to read to feel less alone, or to know what to ask.
You don't have to be at the end of anything
Trying, in treatment, in the middle of IVF, after a loss, pregnant and frightened, or done and at peace — all of it belongs here. A few paragraphs is plenty.
What we'd ask you
So you know before you start. There's no form to fill in here, and nothing you write goes into this website.
- Where are you right now — trying, in treatment, pregnant, after a loss, somewhere else?
- What's one thing you wish you'd known sooner?
- Was there a question, a test or a person that changed things for you?
- What would you tell someone who's where you were a year ago?
What you control
- Your name. First name only, or completely anonymous. Your choice, and you can change it later.
- Where it appears. The newsletter only, or the website too.
- The final version. If we shorten it, you see it and approve it before anyone else does.
- Taking it back. Ask us any time and it comes down.
Please leave out details that would identify someone else — a doctor, a clinic, a family member — unless they've agreed. Stories run as one person's experience, never as medical advice.
Reading this after a loss and not ready? That's completely fine. This will be here whenever you are.
